One of the most successful concert promotions Red and Les presented
was Roy Orbison at the Gardens (above) in 1962. There are several interesting stories surrounding this event and additional dates on Vancouver Island.

Les & Red promoted many shows & dances at the PNE Gardens.
Ike & Tina Turner were probably the best drawing act ever... however,
Little Richard, Wilson Pickett and James Brown were not far
behind. The Gardens is one of the finest sounding dancehalls anywhere.
